Martin Laursen is hoping Aston Villa can start living up to their ‘favourites’ tag in matches at Villa Park. Martin O’Neill’s men struggled to beat Blackburn on home soil before suffering late agony in the encounter against Middlesbrough. They then followed this up with a fantastic victory over Arsenal at the Emirates before earning a valuable draw with Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United. Laursen said: “Fulham is a vital game. I think we can improve when the pressure is on us as the home team. When we are the favourites against the so-called ‘smaller’ sides, we have to keep hold of the ball and create chances. That’s where we can improve. It will be difficult against Fulham but we need to win. We need to keep this momentum going. We want to stay in the top four and we will certainly be up for it on Saturday.
